And I'm still in La Grande and I got a new companion and I think we'll get a long really well! So that means I'm in the Nampa, ID mission! I'm actually really excited. This is gonna be good. I have a really good feeling about it. And don't tell me how many dots you've filled up lol. Gonna make me trunky haha. That's awesome that you and dad get to work at the temple together though! That's a really good relationship builder!
This week we got a couple of good referrals. There's a guy named Tessay from Samoa who we talked to on the doorstep, said he wanted to talk to us, but then his brother came home and said "no" to lessons for now, but they'd have us for dinner sometime.. So that was odd. But Tessay, after we came, went to church the next Sunday for Sunday school because he didn't know when sacrament started, and told his friend Charae (the one who gave us the referral) "If Jesus came to your doorstep would you turn him away?" so that's awesome and me and the new comp (Elder Patterson) are gonna go teach him this week. We had an awesome lesson with Suzanne this week and that was wonderful. We reconfirmed her baptismal date so that was really good. We helped James move back to Yam Hill Oregon (no idea where it is so don't ask) for the summer, but he's still planning on meeting with missionaries over skype and going to church and such for the summer. So the missionaries here in the fall are gonna have an awesome baptism to come to. We had 2 awesome lessons at Doug's cabin in the mountains this week (1 normal lesson and 1 when Elder Macfarlane had to say goodbye to him yesterday) where we addressed a ton of his questions and kept him from dropping us and got him wanting to talk to us more frequently! So I'm excited for that! yesterday was really just spent saying goodbye with Elder Macfarlane and sleeping while he packed. We didn't teach a ton this week, but we were diligent! A lot of stuff just fell through this week. Aside from James we helped Mallory (our recent convert) and a couple other Young Single Adult aged people move out of the college for the summer. The most exciting thing that happened this week was transfers, though... And I'm staying in the same place.. But it is nice to have a change of pace as far as companions go. It's kinda hard not to get sick of someone (especially someone of the same gender) after 12 weeks of just them haha..
